| Sumario: | This paper is the result of collaborative reflection from the research team at Social Work College. The aim is to revise some aspects on the impact of legislation on social workers professional practice since the enactment of Law 26.061 on Children and Adolescents´Rights Protection. Firstly I will examine Social work discourse, how the professional acts and how he/she inserts himself/herself in the social context which is the field of his/her intervention. Secondly, I will work on social interventions on Argentinian Childhood from concepts built at the beginning of the 20th century and the possibility of emergence of a new legal subject, “the child subject to rights” based on the international Convention on the rights of the child. Finally, I will analyze aspects from Law 26.061 which have been modified compared to previous law, searching for the breaking off and continuities with previous professional practice. |
