Sumario:The aim of this article is to analyze stereotypes about Spanish gypsy women, both within the gypsy "ethnic group" and from the majority society, within the framework of a program to promote gypsy women in Salamanca. The anthropological approach with a gender perspective allows us to account for the intersectionality of inequalities that gypsy women go through, as well as the fissures that appear in the conformation of these hegemonic stereotype.
