Sumario:Although for decades various studies have been carried out on youth and their political practices in Argentina, little has yet been said about how gender shapes the diversity of youth participation. This article explores this vacancy, a consequence of the limited dialogue between feminist studies and the local youth and political participation research field. At the same time, it explores the possible contributions that feminist reflections on politics, affections and emotions have to offer to this field. It also suggests new questions and investigative routes that, without abandoning the generational question, may challenge the dichotomy between the public and the private, while bringing to the fore the emotional order and the everyday intimate, even banal, moments, so as to understand the political.
