| Sumario: | The purpose of this article is to recover the experiences of exiled women who had to leave Argentina for political reasons during the seventies of the last century and who later joined the feminist movement that re-emerged in the post-dictatorial period. For this purpose, we rely mainly on interviews conducted by the author as well as on some published testimonies. To do so, we make a tour through the studies on exile in our country emphasizing a necessary gender perspective, which we find more developed in studies of other Latin American countries. We then focus on the experience of exile and the encounter with feminism in the host countries and the impact this had on their lives and subsequent militancy. |
