Sumario:The article is an investigation into political militancy and the way in which women relate to feminism in two generations of militant women in Chile. In-depth interviews with a biographical approach were analyzed with eight women of two generations: a first generation of women with political activism in the 60s and 70s and after the coup d’état of 1973. The second generation of women with political militancies in the mid-2000s and are active at the time of the social outburst of October 18, 2019. Based on a non-experimental design and interpretative qualitative methods were used. A brief historicization of women and political participation from the beginning of the 20th century to the present in the country is presented, and it’s analyzed the relationship that women established with the sex/gender political positioning as woman and feminism in their militant trajectories, the obstacles that had found within the political parties and the main resistance strategies that have been developed to continue with political militancy.
