Sumario:Taking into account that the title of the novel Tierra sonámbula, de Mia Couto, shows the preponderance of dream in writing, we postulate that this work refers to a land described as sleepwalking, since it houses the dream, the utopia of change. In the same way, we observe characters wandering the shattered land and the construction of their identity. This fiction remarkably represents the current Mozambique, in order to verify how the dream assumes a representation of the rescue and perpetuation of a cultural identity
