Sumario:In this work I consider aspects of reality, science and the possibility of knowing the past; as well as the scope of the discipline of Anthropology and the branch of Archaeology. My objective is to deal with the case of Historical Archaeology, for which I critically examine some proposals from the Anglo-Saxon world, but in particular I analyze the Argentine context. Likewise, I examine certain moments and arguments that are part of the History of Science and the ways to refine the methods of inference. Finally, I make a research proposal with an epistemological basis and some theoretical scope according to my perspective on how, currently, I observe the field of Historical Archaeology.
