El artículo analiza la cooperación entre el Banco Mundial y Argentina en la gestión del medioambiente, precisamente en la problemática de la cuenca Matanza-Riachuelo, una de las regiones más contaminadas del mundo. La hipótesis que guió el artículo señala que el Banco Mundial durante el periodo 2003 -2015 ha desempeñado un activo rol en cuanto a inanciar y asistir técnicamente a Argentina en cuestiones de medioambiente, el cual se ha materializado en la cooperación a través del Proyecto de Desarrollo Sustentable de la Cuenca Matanza-Riachuelo, signiicativo por su monto.
