| Sumario: | The relationship between Argentina and the European Union has undergone a significant transformation in the context of a global geopolitical and economic reconfiguration. This article examines the opportunities and challenges faced by this relationship, focusing on Argentina's strategic role as a supplier of critical resources, such as lithium and green hydrogen, within the framework of the EU's quest for strategic autonomy. Through an analysis of recent dynamics, including the supply crises triggered by the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, the possibilities for a renewed agenda that promotes closer cooperation are discussed. However, the relationship is marked by tensions and challenges, such as the ratification process of the Mercosur-EU agreement and the regulatory demands imposed by Brussels. This paper concludes with the need for more effective collaboration that benefits both Argentina and the European Union, exploring ways to overcome existing obstacles. |
