| Sumario: | The article developed here investigates one of the foundational educational trajectories in the institutionalization of technical and manual education in the province of Santa Fe between 1890 and 1905. This period is vacant, scarcely studied, and a biography that stands out in the origins of educational bureaucracy. Within the framework of a modernization process not without conflicts and disputes between notables and villagers, Enrique Muzzio closely observed educational experiences oriented toward manual education and workshops. As a consequence, his life journey leads us from the pedagogical experiences of Corrientes and Esquina at the end of the 19th century to his main concerns and training in the pedagogical program of the Swedish school of Nääs in the province of Santa Fe, using the manual teaching method in wood called Slöjd. The proposed journey explores Muzzio's records and contributions, both in theory and in his role as director and education official at the General Education Council. It guides the reader through his travels, the first linked to the province of Corrientes and the second record produced during his trip to European educational experiences. |
