| Sumario: | In Argentina, teacher training in economics is carried out through a dual system, which means that such training is carried out by university institutions and by provincial higher education system. Universities make a significant contribution to the number of economics teachers they train, since eight National Universities offer this degree within their academic offering. The objective of this research is to analyze the training provided by economics teaching degrees in the Argentine university system. To do so, after contextualizing teacher training and presenting the methodology used, an analysis is presented of the hourly load destined for three types of training: specific (in economics and associated areas), general, and practical. Finally, reflections are presented about the similarities and differences in the training of economics teachers at National Universities, detecting positive aspects and others that need to be improved. |
