Sumario:The following article presents the results obtained in an investigation carried out in 2019 to students of the Austral University of Chile who practice Pole Dance regularly, as thesis work to qualify for the title of physical education teacher. It is a qualitative study, where the findings of three data collection instruments are analyzed (Likert-type survey, discussion group and semi-structured interview), which show that the practice of this sport generates positive repercussions on the self-image of the participants. In addition, it is deduced that this sport is positively related to academic responsibilities and social relations within professional training in higher education.
