Sumario:The main objective of this article is to identify pedagogical leadership and its influence on the teaching practice developed by students from level four of Commercial Education, a major shared between the School of Professional Secretariat and the Division of Educology of National University of Costa Rica. 2The methodology used is qualitative, a phenomenological type that describes the reality lived around the students’ teaching practice. Subsequently, the data collected is contrasted with the theoretical basis. This academic experience arises from the participation in the course and the development of the practice in different educational institutions.The results highlight the significance of leadership for the practicing student, for the collaborating teacher, as well as for the teachers of the major during the training process. In addition, there are some leadership and motivational characteristics perceived, as well as the influence of pedagogical leadership on the student.Among the most relevant findings are the three types of leadership, motivationand assertive communication among others.
