Sumario:This article proposes an approach to the political frameworks and dimensions of public money: it is about analyzing the social meanings, uses and monetary and moral evaluations of money transferred from different social programs of monetary transfer in Argentinian Republic. Based on an ethnographic exploration based on different fieldwork developed over the last 15 years, different ethnographic scenes are analyzed with the aim of exploring the plural meanings assumed by public money between multiple social actors (holders and non-holders, local state actors and professional politicians) and the moral and monetary evaluations that occur in popular neighborhoods to classify practices and hierarchies/ de-hierarchize actions. The work argues that the political plots of money are central to understanding the criteria of redistributive justice that Argentinian society debates.
