| Sumario: | This article analyzes the therapeutic itineraries of Bolivian migrant women suffering from tuberculosis. Based on an ethnographic research carried out in a villa de emergencia in the south of the city of Buenos Aires, it was sought to capture the paths of women in search of an answer to their ailments, and the resources and relationships put into play in a scenario characterized by precariousness and instability in the conditions of daily life and restrictions on access to health services. Its starting point is an understanding of therapeutic itineraries as active constructions of the subjects tied to specific biographical circumstances and situations. We explore the ways in which inequality and discrimination are intertwined in individual trajectories, giving rise to specific forms of disease and suffering. |
