Sumario:This article inquires into the connections between philosophy and literature in relation to essay form as a singular expression of modernity. Across Adorno’s ideas about essay procedures, we can appreciate in which way the experience, esthetic speculations and denial as a conceptual mediation assume the position of fundamental processes for knowledge exposition and elaboration. At the same time, to reflect on the a-methodical procedure of essay writing allows us to understand how traditional oppositions between science and art, objectivity and subjectivity, dissolve in the essay area and integrate, looking for an overcoming thought which rescues the thinking risk
