Such as it is impossible to disregard the methodical criticism that prompted its previous banishment, it has become urgent to rethink a concept of form which answers to current speculative needs and opens up a space for investigation. This article’s formulation of a concept of “forming of the living” drawing from the psychoanalytic tradition —and critically referring to structuralism and phenomenology— aspires to set up such a space and to scan some of the theoretical issues which can be developed within it. Through this path, focus is brought on Lacan and some psychoanalytic feminists, on the background of Husserl, Merleau-Ponty and Lévi-Strauss. Resumen: De la biopolítica italiana a la investigación histórica de las supervivencias, la noción de forma ha regresado perceptiblemente a los estudios sobre literatura y arte. Así como es imposible desconocer las críticas metódicas que provocaron su previa expulsión, urge repensar un concepto de forma que pueda atender a las necesidades reflexivas presentes y abrir un espacio de pesquisa. La formulación en este artículo de un concepto de “puesta en forma de lo viviente” a partir de la tradición psicoanalítica —y en referencia crítica al estructuralismo y la fenomenología— aspira a constituir un espacio de ese tipo y escandir algunos de los problemas teóricos que pueden desplegarse en su interior. En ese recorrido, el foco está puesto en Lacan y algunas feministas psicoanalíticas, sobre el fondo de Husserl, Merleau-Ponty y Lévi-Strauss.
