Sumario:Abstract: The Mia Couto’s literature transits for a space between traditional European and the knowledge local. Going for this vision, we resorted historical sources for we can introduce this, there are strong connections between a desolate Moçambique by wars and destruction and the literature disclosed for Mia Couto, particularly in “Terra Sonâmbula” (sleepwalking earth- translating for english) (1992). Taking the romance as an object of analysis, we can observe with notion accuracy of time and space which sets up the work scenario, proportioning main episodes that succeeded the narrative and then the effect which affect the characters as well as whole nation weakened by wars.
