Such research has as main objective to reconstruct how they impact the language arts manuals published for Argentine secondary level, some discussions around gender (gender), during certain historical turning points: 1984, 1994 and 2006. Specifically, the text presented to the dossier “Perspectivas sexogenéricas: literatura, artes y política” focuses on the analysis of a case: the manual Lengua y Literatura 1, published by Editorial Santillana in 1988. For its peculiarities, the it possible to show how discussions given in the field of gender studies and sexualities begin to enter or not-in the manuals of literature in Argentina from democratic restitution. Esta presentación forma parte de una tesis doctoral en curso titulada Género y Literatura en manuales para la escuela secundaria argentina (1984−2011) financiada a partir de una Beca de Postgrado del CONICET. Dicha investigación tiene como objetivo fundamental reconstruir el modo en que impactan en los manuales de lengua y literatura publicados para el nivel secundario argentino, algunas discusiones en torno al género (gender), durante ciertos momentos históricos de inflexión: 1984, 1994 y 2006. Específicamente, el texto que presentamos para el dossier “Perspectivas sexogenéricas: literatura, artes y política” se centra en el análisis de un caso particular: el manual Lengua y Literatura 1, publicado por editorial Santillana en 1988. Por sus particularidades, el mismo posibilita mostrar el modo en que discusiones dadas en el terreno de los estudios de género y las sexualidades comienzan a ingresar –o no– en los manuales de literatura en Argentina a partir de la restitución democrática.
