Sumario:The objective of these pages is to risk a series of coordinates present in the 70s and 80s from which it is possible to account for the mutations in rationalities, mentalities, in the ethos that is being configured among those 70’s with the 80’s and the young democracies that were emerging. It is possible to trace this ethos both in the world of the arts (especially literature and cinema) and in the field of social sciences, keys to reflecting on those changes that begin with the recovery of democracy in Argentina and that it will nest traces that allow us to think about our democracies today. To do this, first of all I will briefly stop at the scene of the ‘60s and ‘70s, a necessary landmark to be able to move forward towards the following decade where the climate of recovery of democracy will be exposed but within the framework of an intellectual debate that seems to show those signs of disenchantment that will erupt violently in the following decade
