| Sumario: | This article analyzes the impact that external debt and economic crisis have on the lives of women in Argentina; evaluating how these situations unfold in a context of multiple inequalities. The evolution of the gender equality concept in the international context, the inclusion of such variable in the orbit of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and gender recommendations included in the agreement with Argentina are studied, emphasizing the shortcomings that this agreement presents. Finally, the need to generate feminist and intersectional research in the field of economics in Argentina is raised; concluding that the presence of public policies with a gender perspective that avoids homogenizing analyzes, fosters new models of economic development, and helps to disarm the base gender inequalities and gaps; is extremely necessary. |
