Sumario:This article has as its theme the Atomic Agreements between Brazil and the United States during the period 1945 to 1955. The focus was the analysis of the internal context of the signing of these agreements and their implications for Brazilian foreign policy. The process of politicization of the issue of the export of strategic minerals to the United States is understood within a framework delimited by internal actors and external factors. Thus, we evaluate and identify the positions adopted by the actors who took part in the debate on the export of these minerals, seeking to trace a history of the process that led to the signing of the Brazil-United States Atomic Agreements.
