Sumario:The pandemic caused by COVID-19 has had a major impact on global economic activity especially, in Latin America and the Caribbean. Given the extent of the economic and social consequences that are anticipated, it is necessary to think about diagnoses and policy proposals for the recovery scenario in the post-pandemic world. Small and Medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have been affected significantly, both in terms of employment and sales decline. In this paper a global and regional analysis is introduced, a diagnosis of the problem faced by SMEs is made and policy recommendations are given in a comprehensive way, thinking both in the short and long term.
