Cognición y semántica espacial:: bases teóricas para una investigación sobre la localización estática en el rromané hablado en Chile
The study of meaning for spatial expressions has broadly been reviewed, particularly from semantic-cognitive point of view (Talmy, 2000; Landau & Jackendoff, 1993) and, more recently, in research of comparative or typological perspective (Levinson & Wilkins, 2006; Bowerman, 2007). On...

| Sumario: | The study of meaning for spatial expressions has broadly been reviewed, particularly from semantic-cognitive point of view (Talmy, 2000; Landau & Jackendoff, 1993) and, more recently, in research of comparative or typological perspective (Levinson & Wilkins, 2006; Bowerman, 2007). On this context, the present work has as main objectives to demonstrate the central character of spatial domain in language-cognition interface and then to describe the general guidelines of a spatial semantics. Levinson’s proposal (2003), about the sub-domains that compound the semantic domain of space, has permitted to delimit the extent of this research proposed in relation to rromané spoken by Gypsies in Chile. This research is centered on the description of statical location mechanisms in this language. |
