Sumario:The objective of this paper is to describe and analyze the processes of ethnic revaluation that have occurred in recent times in urban spaces, which by increasing the organization begin to seek greater participation in decision-making and self-determination spaces. As a fundamental part of the work, we will address the case of the Calfulafken Community, located in the town of Carhué, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, which is in a process constituting a revaluation of its ethnic identity, in the local context. In this sense, we will address the Ethnogenesis concept to see its relevance in the case analyzed and try to see the particularities of the case as well as the generalities that encompass it in a broader and long-standing process.
