I15-R201-article-7612025-04-27T22:03:20Z Clase obrera, insilio y dictadura en Argentina: lo inenarrable del terror Ortiz, María Laura In this article we addressthe internal exile or insilio as one of the forms of affectation of State terrorism. The historical subject on which this research will focus is constituted by a fraction of the working class that had become involved with what was considered by the government as "subversion". An important part of those who, up to that moment, had had some kind of union activism or party militancy, had to go into hiding, change their identity, their work, their place of residence, their ties, etc. Their memories will be explored using the methodological tools of oral history, and we will analyze how the traumatic experience of insile caused forgetfulness and silence in the collective memory. The unspeakable condition of these memories survived in this community in the following decades and, in many cases, continues to the present.
