| Sumario: | The Cabildo magazine has been recognized by various researchers given its repercussion and importance in the 1970s. With a Catholic nationalist imprint, the publication constitutes an important piece of analysis within Argentine religious nationalisms. Analyzed from different political perspectives by multiple researchers, in this paper we specifically propose an approach to its economic columns during the first years of the government of Raúl Alfonsín (1983-1985). The economic section had persistence and continuity, revealing the editorial group's programmatic vision in this dimension, although not without significant tensions. For this, the economic and economic policy columns included in the months from December 1983 to June 1985 were consulted, although a comprehensive analysis of the publication is also carried out. It is concluded that the nationalist vision of the Cabildo, critical of the economic powers considered anti-national, coexisted with other views inclined towards economic stabilization and pro-export slogans. In addition, we observe that the general insignia of the magazine that associated the Left with Alphonsism with Marxism, was not the main slogan in the economic vision and in the criticisms made of radical officials.
