Sumario:This text will address the theoretical dimension of Raúl Olmedo's work. Mexican professor who in the 1970s burst into public space from the development of “Althusserian” theses that directly touched Marxism and indirectly the theory of science. Olmedo's intellectual intervention places him in a wide register -the one that is involved in Marxism- and at the same time gives him a privileged place, because, in addition to being a student with the philosopher Louis Althusser in France, the place that It allowed academic and public spaces to develop. We will trace the thread that goes from his first interventions in the theoretical field, passing through the “Althusserian” splendor and we will finish in the last recesses of his work, which return to certain themes.
