| Sumario: | Alberto Ascolani, a psychologist by profession, taught for twenty-one consecutive years two subjects that were part of the institutional orientation of Social Communication until the reform of the 2001 syllabus: Institution and Society and Analysis of Institutions. The aim of this profile is to reconstruct the disruptive contributions made by this renowned psychoanalyst until his retirement, after he retired and Analysis of Institutions was eliminated in 2009. The central hypothesis is that Ascolani set out totrain analysts in a career outside the psi field. Other aspects of our training, which also provide tools for training analysts in institutions, are limited to the specific field of communication. This teacher, on the contrary, intended to train institutional analysts and not communication analysts. For more than two decades, this political, not just academic, objective was an alternative way for students to challenge the hegemonic meanings of our degree programme limited to journalism and institutional and corporatecommunication. |
