| Sumario: | To honor Fernández's book, it would have to be cited in a path close to that of Pierre Menard, author of Don Quixote, but it is not what corresponds to the requested genre, for which such a task will be renounced. Let's start at the beginning: the prologue. A paratext that opens, in a brilliant and original way, a book like this one. Sandra Valdettaro and Carlos A. Scolari dialogue about the text, about its objects, about the referents, about the way in which José Luis Fernández weaves and unweaves perspectives and constantly links other disciplines and traditions “without abandoning the socio-semiotic centrality ”, as Scolari said. Undoubtedly, the conclusion of both is that it is an essential book in any library. Media lives, without a doubt a broad denomination, works as an umbrella in the best sense of the term. It is not that he decides to put a series of ambiguities under that lexical cover, but, on the contrary, he effectively argues the reasons for the terminological and conceptual expansion. |
