Sumario:Given the emergence of new news informative supports, we analyze the public communication of science in the digital newspapers of Argentina (2017-18) regarding health issues, in the key dimensions of journalistic production, news ranking and the treatment of the sources. The purpose is to determine regularities and particularities in the volume and informative display that science receives in general and health, in particular. In this article, results are presented that aim to form a scenario of journalistic coverage on science in the most representative newspapers of the regions of the country, based on the content analysis in a sample of the constructed week. In this regard, our hypothesis is that journalistic coverage on health is dominant at the national level due to a utilitarian view of science that emphasizes the exposure of concrete results. The relevance in the approach to health is not only observed in the number of news items, but also implies greater visibility and treatment of sources that prioritize consultation of specialists rather than documents and international origin to the detriment of local sources.
