It was started in August 2016 and completed in December 2017.The objective of the study was to describe, analyze and validate with messages, health teams of the first level of care and population the messages produced by the PNCCR. The study was based on an exploratory-descriptive design and the use of a qualitative-quantitative approach that combined different techniques of information collection (analysis of documents and communication materials of the PNCCR; interviews; focus groups and surveys). The provinces of Tucumán and Misiones were selected for the application of the techniques. The results indicate that to promote the detection of colorectal cancer it is not only necessary to produce more audiovisual materials and fewer graphic materials (simple and illustrated), enhance interpersonal spaces and advance the use of social networks, but also overcome the elliptical way of speaking of cancer of health teams. El presente artículo sintetiza los resultados del Estudio de recepción de mensajes informativos, de sensibilización y educativos del Programa Nacional de Prevención y Detección Temprana del Cáncer Colorrectal (PNCCR) realizado por las autoras como parte del equipo técnico de la Asociación Civil Trama – Lazos para el Desarrollo. Fue iniciado en el mes de agosto de 2016 y finalizado en diciembre de 2017.El objetivo del estudio fue describir, analizar y validar con equipos técnicos, equipos de salud del primer nivel de atención y población los mensajes producidos por el PNCCR. El estudio se basó en un diseño exploratorio-descriptivo y en la utilización de un enfoque cuali-cuantitativo que combinó diversas técnicas de recolección de la información (análisis de documentos y de materiales de comunicación del PNCCR; entrevistas; grupos focales y encuestas). Se seleccionaron las provincias de Tucumán y Misiones para la aplicación de las técnicas. Los resultados indican que para promover la detección del cáncer colorrectal no sólo es necesario producir más materiales audiovisuales y menos materiales gráficos (simples e ilustrados),potenciar espacios interpersonales y avanzar en la utilización de las redes sociales, sino también superar el elíptico modo de hablar del cáncer de los equipos de salud.
