Sumario:This article presents the relevance of the theory of conventions to evaluate the modalities of internal coordination of organizations, as well as the possibilities of providing operational frameworks for the resolution of these problems. It responds to a multiple case study. The data was collected from organizations dedicated to food trade, which have various ownership regimes, namely: private, cooperative and mixed. The fieldwork took place in a period in which the context requires changes in the coordination regime. Finding the research in progress, the results obtained to date show contributions of this theory to the management of organizations, linked to organizational culture.
