| Sumario: | This essay -grounded on a cartography that attempts to approach different project production possibilities- deals particularly with the heteronomous mode. According to it, the project implies a certain re-elaboration of background and/or external knowledge when dealing with the eventual specificity of architecture as a discipline. Thus, the project heteronomous mode would be closely related to historicity since it is primarily based on both the elaboration of projects or previous project fragments and operations (quotes, references, etc,) linked to knowledge which does not pertain to the architectural field. The heteronomous mode as project strategy would include the so called recycling or retrospective practices (restoration, re-functionalizing, rehabilitation). This means working on a project approach that takes into account the previously projected materiality able to set heteronomous conditions (i.e., those that belong to a previous project) as well as the whole range of external references: allusions, quotes, copies or replications, etc. |
