| Sumario: | This conversation has taken place during the annual workshop organized by the Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Design of the National University of Rosario and Bauhaus Universitat of Weimar. It deals with the professional practice as well as the academic work of José Gutiérrez Márquez. Unavoidable topics such as his training in Rosario, Venice and Berlin; his teaching experience in German schools –Bauhaus among them- ; and, his research on metaphor as a means to synthesize and conceptualize architectonic strategies are approached. Furthermore, his professional practice experience in Bruno-Fioretti-Márquez architekten studio in Berlin is analyzed. Márquez is co-founder of this studio which has been acknowledged by its technological rigor as well as recycling experience. His works –almost all of them attained by means of architectural competitionshave received international awards. Architect Gutiérrez Márquez speaks with passion about his ability to not only acquire a wide range of knowledge but also capitalize on experience gained in strict and demanding contexts leading to the successful achievement of architectonic projects. |
