| Sumario: | In this article an approximation is proposed about some of the different uses and appropriations of the contemporary public space. This is done from the study of a case: the central sector (called the “Black Square”) of the Superkilen urban park, located in Copenhagen and designed by the BIG Architects studio together with Topotek 1 and Superflex. The reflection has its starting point in the analysis and interpretation of two photographs (taken by two different professional photographers) that illustrate various forms of appropriation of space and urban equipment by users. Being the main protagonists of the reflection, photographic images become simultaneously objects of study and method of knowledge of reality. Finally, other looks (anthropologists, sociologists, philosophers) that try to find new meanings in what the photographs show or suggest us, and add to the looks of the photographers. |
