This construction depends on the photographer’s eye, i.e., his intellectual background, concerns, intentions as well as his cultural past and future. A photographer both “records and constructs” a reality perspective which, in turn, will be reconstructed by an active viewer through recycling and reassessment. Partiendo de la premisa de que el registro fotográfico es consciente e intencionado, la fotografía se constituye en una herramienta de construcción/reconstrucción arquitectónica. Al priorizar y jerarquizar la realidad que se desea documentar se produce un recorte intencionado de la misma dando lugar a la “construcción de la imagen”. Esta construcción depende de la mirada del fotógrafo constituida por su formación intelectual, sus intereses, sus intenciones, su historia, su devenir como sujeto cultural. El fotógrafo no sólo “registra” a través de su captura de la realidad, si no que “construye” una visión de la misma, la cual a su vez será re-interpretada o re-construida por un espectador activo que la recicla y la pone en valor.
