Sumario:I propose to summarize two models of anthropocentrism. One of them, which I have called "mid-scale anthropocentrism", alludes, in broad strokes, to the apparently predominant position of the human in ancient and medieval thought. The models of this anthropocentrism are Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas. It is the apparently predominant model in modern thought, and its development can be traced back to Pico della Mirandola and Kant. I have tried to sketch political consequences of both models.
