Sumario:In The Persian, Aeschylus naval defeat of Salamina of the powerful Persian army. Asia and Europe, primitivism and civilization, are recreated in theskene and proskenion of the Greekt heater, concepts not differentiated by thepersian´s conscience. The Greek spirit, as thefounder of thought, frames Europe in a spiritual spacethat determines and distinguishes it. Inheritor of Homer and thegods, the thought begins with the Greeks and sincethen it is considered theonly way of thinking: converted into philosophy or science, tend towards unconditional and absolut evalues, and towards truth, not only aspires toit, but also reaches the everlasting, the unconditional and the truthful. Soul and body, knowledge and understanding, will be one of the achievements that the Greeks will make in thefeat of discovering the notion of spirit and thought, from which Europe and Western civilization will born.
