| Sumario: | Strategic planning and management of tourism activity should consider residents and their attitudes as a central axis, since they play a central role in the analysis of future policies aimed at improving tourism development. A positive attitude towards tourism would allow residents to value this activity as a means to achieve the integral development of their community, while a negative attitude could become an obstacle to it. This article analyzes the attitudes of the residents of the commune of Cochamó towards tourism, for which a quantitative research was designed using a Likert-type attitude scale questionnaire. The results showed a low sensitivity of the residents to the benefits of tourism, expressing a negative attitude towards the economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts. |
