Sumario:The article presents an overview of the field of Latin American popular education during the first two decades of the XXI century. Based on the direct experience of the author and a documentary review of the written production of various groups of popular educators from various countries and networks such as the Council of Popular Education of Latin America and the Caribbean, the following issues are analyzed: the situation of Popular Education at the beginning of the new century; emerging educational scenarios, actors, themes and practices; and the main political and pedagogical debates at the beginning of the third decade of the XXI century.
