The series was reborn in the years of 2000 with the aim of keeping the genre science fiction alive. The purpose of the paper is to study how science fiction as a context influences the reception of texts and the figure of Borges in Hungary, that is, give an image about this special way how the Argentine writer appears in the Hungarian literary criticism. La primera traducción al húngaro de textos de Jorge Luis Borges se publicó hace 45 años, en 1972, en la serie de ciencia ficción, titulada Kozmosz – fantasztikus könyvek ("Cosmos–libros fantásticos"), mientras que la última en 2017, en una antología (la serie se titula Metagalaktika, o sea "Metagaláctica") de prácticamente la misma editorial que desde su renacimiento en los años 2000 tiene el objetivo de mantener vivo el género. El propósito del artículo es estudiar la influencia del contexto de la ciencia ficción en la recepción de los textos y la figura de Borges en Hungría, es decir, dar una imagen sobre esta peculiaridad de la lectura húngara de la obra del escritor argentino.
