Sumario:Avicenna’s Philosophia prima (I,5) is the primary source for the idea of the being (ens) as the first thing conceived by the intellect. He also develops de idea of the multivoca of the being, i.e., the notions which share the status of first notions conceived by the intellect. They are identified with the being (ens) by extension, but they also bring along another type of comprehension.
