Sumario:The article proposed for the dossier seeks to present an analysis of the educational experiences that the Salesian congregation developed in Argentine Patagonia during the 20th century. We will locate our study in the city of Comodoro Rivadavia (Chubut), which, from 1907 with the discovery of oil, and especially with the creation of the company Yacimientos Petrolifos Fiscales (YPF) in 1922, began to have an important movement worker. These aspects contributed so that the congregation could develop four educational proposals that ranged from primary to university level, since it guaranteed a technical and Christian training for the young people who would later enter the world of oil work.
