Sumario: | The present work aims to socialize the results of the first phase of a research that has as its thematic core intercultural education in the context of Technical and Technological Education linked to the Federal Institutes of Brazilian Education, Science and Technology. The general proposal of the research has as the main aim to analyze and understand how the Federal Institutes have addressed interculturality in their educational and curricular spaces, as well as their pedagogical practices in daily school life. This work presents the results regarding the first phase of the research which analyzed the guiding documents of the educational processes at the Federal Institute of Amazonas – IFAM. The documents analyzed comprised: the documents that gave origin to the Federal Institutes in 2008; Institutional Development Plan – IDP; Didactic Organization Plan, as well as documents related to courses, programs, projects, disciplines and other IFAM normative instruments. The results point to an initial and increasing concern in relation to intercultural education, mainly related to indigenous education, and highlights the need for other perspectives that recognize the regional (center-periphery), cultural and racial differences in general. |
