Sumario:In this paper I adopt a generational perspective and take as a frame of reference the literary production of Argentine post-dictatorship authors born between 1968 and 1976. I report the existence of research works focused on the issue of traumatic childhood represented in the texts produced by writers of this generation between 2007 and 2020 and I propose to analyze two works, Hasta que mueras (Raquel Robles, 2019) and No derrames tus lágrimas por nadie que viva en estas calles (Patricio Pron, 2016), focusing on the use of the past. To classify the texts of the period I propose the categories of melancholy, nihilism and utopia, which are used to designate global and dominant attitudes in each text according to its relationship with the past: a fixation on the past, an abandonment of the past or the past as an inheritance placed at the base of a political project.
