Relatos sobre identidad, nietos y reencuentros is a short stories collection targeted to children and youth audiences and recreated by renowned local artists dealing with the testimony of five grandchildren who were seized during the (self) proclaimed National Reorganization Process (1976-1983) and later recovered by their families and relatives. It is not only a literary piece but also a testimonial one written to account for an individual and collective history in order to keep the memory/memories of a fact. But what happens when memories are blurry, raveled, confusing because the past is traumatic and have young children as protagonists? Here’s where fiction gets going: it is able to retrieve memories but also to fill the void, the gaps. It can re-write history and deliver a complete memory. |
