Sumario:This work proposes a critical review of local art history from a feminist perspective, based on the visibility of Rosario Moreno's trajectory. This artist was born in Mendoza around 1914, developed her career between America and Europe and was an active participant in the construction of the provincial cultural field, however her life and work have been very little deepened by the history of local art. So with this work, we revisit Moreno's biography with the intention of placing it in the cultural context of his time. This, while elucidating the transcendence of his performance, shows the little importance that has been given to female figures in the historiography of provincial and national art.  As a result we observe that there is a contrast with the wide trajectory and activities of the artist in the circuits that legitimize aesthetic practices, and the poor reflection that is observed in the history of local art. We consider that this fact is due, as different authors have rescued, to the silencing that women have suffered in the history of art.
