Sumario:The present work proposes a critical interpretation of the Urban Campus of the University of Mendoza (CUUM), designed by Arch. Enrico Tedeschi.Although the work belongs to the private sphere, it has public significance by its social function since the sanction of "Law of privateuniversities", at thebeginning of the 60's. Theexplorationonthe CUUM, dealswiththeproduction of a workonthethreshold of the debate discipline of the crisis of the Modern Movement in theLatin American contextwith. In thesameway, itisalsovaluablefordiscussion of areas of knowledge, in relation to segregationorintegrationwithrespecttotheurbanfabric, thedefinition of territorial models and differentapproachestothe link betweenAcademy and community. The CUUM implies a concrete example of urbandesign, thereinterpretation of local cultural values and the revitalization or intervention of urban life in a specific sector of the consolidated city.
