These scores belong to the Colección Digital Biblioteca Criolla of Ibero-American Institute in Berlin (Germany), collected by Robert Lehmann-Nitsche in the inter-century, and consist of songs for piano and voice, that have an art compositional affiliation and, at the same time, refer to folklore. In addition, significant changes in school education during the first decade of the 20th century are examined through other documentary sources. A reflection is proposed that weighs the situation of the teaching of music in the school environment and the concern for the conformation of a national identity. Este trabajo aborda la relación entre folclore musical y nacionalismo en Argentina, que se produjo a comienzos de siglo XX a partir del análisis de los Cantos escolares de Leopoldo Corretjer. Estas partituras pertenecen a la Colección Digital Biblioteca Criolla del Instituto Iberoamericano de Berlín (Alemania), que reunió Robert Lehmann-Nitsche en el entresiglos, y consisten en canciones para piano y voz que poseen una filiación compositiva académica y al mismo tiempo remiten al folclore. Además, se examinan los cambios significativos en la educación escolar, durante la primera década del siglo XX, a través de otras fuentes documentales. Se propone una reflexión que sopesa la situación de la enseñanza de la música en el ámbito escolar y la preocupación por la conformación de una identidad nacional.
